There is elegance in simplicity. This week, my eye was most tickled by Indigo’s superbly simple shot of Red Cinnamon Cake. The focus is perfect, highlighting the moist and yet crumby texture. The colour is tantalizing and the ensemble makes me want to bake this NOW. Just what food photography should be, and proof positive that you don’t need fancy props to take a WOW-worthy photograph.
What makes this find all the more exciting for me is that Indigo is only 18. And yet what a talent! Go read her blog and you’ll find a cultured and worldly cook/writer/photographer. Very promising indeed. Oh and of course I love that her name is a colour – just like yours truly!
